Community Guidelines

Welcome to ad/forum. We’re a community of advertisers, marketers, designers, and curious minds. To keep this place useful, civil, and safe for everyone, we follow a small set of clear rules. Read them once — they apply to every post, reply, and message.

Violating any rule below leads to a warning → temporary ban → permanent ban, depending on severity. Egregious violations (harassment, doxxing, illegal content) skip straight to a permanent ban.

01🔗No links

Do not paste URLs of any kind in topics or replies — no http://, no https://, no www., no bare domains, no shorteners, no markdown links.

Why: Links are the #1 vehicle for spam and malware in online communities. If you want to recommend a tool, book, or article, describe it in your own words. Other members can search for it themselves.

Consequence: Submission blocked automatically. Repeated attempts → warning → temp ban.

02📞No phone numbers

Sharing your phone number — or asking for someone else’s — is not allowed. Our filter detects 10+ digit sequences in any common format (+91-XXXXX-XXXXX, (XXX) XXX-XXXX, etc.), including spelled-out variants like “nine eight seven six…”.

Why: Phone numbers move conversations off-platform where we can’t protect you from scams, harassment, or doxxing. They’re also irreversible: once posted publicly they can be scraped by bad actors forever.

Consequence: Submission blocked automatically. Repeat offenders → temporary ban.

03📧No email addresses

Don’t post email addresses in topics or replies — yours or anyone else’s. This includes obfuscated forms like name [at] domain dot com.

Why: Same as phone numbers. Use the platform’s discussion features for everything.

Consequence: Submission blocked automatically.

04🤐No private contact info

Do not post WhatsApp numbers, Telegram handles, Signal IDs, Instagram/Snapchat/TikTok handles, Discord tags, or invitations to “DM me on…” any platform. Do not share Aadhaar, PAN, IFSC codes, or bank account numbers — yours or anyone else’s.

Why: Private channels are where scams happen. If a user asks for your private contact details for a “business deal”, “job offer”, or “exclusive opportunity”, it’s almost certainly a scam. Report them using the Report link on their post.

Consequence: Submission blocked. Doxxing or sharing someone else’s PII → permanent ban.

05🚫No abusive language

No slurs, profanity, harassment, threats, hate speech, or coordinated brigading. This includes English profanity and Hindi/regional transliterations.

Why: Civility isn’t optional. Disagree fiercely on the substance — never on the person.

Consequence: First offence → warning. Second → 7-day suspension. Third → permanent ban. Targeted harassment skips to permanent.

06📨No private messaging

Direct messaging between members is disabled by design. All conversations stay public so the community benefits and moderators can keep things safe.

Why: Public-only conversation eliminates a class of harassment and protects newcomers.

07🎯Stay on topic

Post in the right forum. Use the search before opening a duplicate thread. Avoid pure self-promotion — if you contributed work, lead with the substance, not the sell.

Consequence: Off-topic / duplicate threads may be moved or closed by moderators.

08🤖No automation

No bots, scripts, or auto-posting tools. Registration, login and post submission are protected by automated checks. Suspicious activity (rapid-fire posts, disposable email signups) is rate-limited or blocked.

Rate limits: 5 topics per hour, 20 replies per hour, per user.

09Verify your email

You must confirm your email address before you can create topics or replies. We send a verification link on signup. If you didn’t get it, you can request a new one from your account.

10🚩Report bad behaviour

Every post has a Report link. Use it for spam, harassment, misinformation, off-topic content, or anyone trying to share private contact info. Reports go to the forum’s moderators, not back to the reporter.

How enforcement works

  1. Warning — A moderator emails you. The reported post may be removed.
  2. Temporary ban — You can read the forum but cannot post for 7–30 days.
  3. Permanent ban — Your account is closed. You can appeal in writing once.

Severe violations (doxxing, threats, illegal content, organised harassment) skip the ladder and go straight to permanent ban.
