Community Guidelines

Community Guidelines

ad/forum exists to help advertising professionals learn and grow. These rules keep the community useful and respectful.

1. Stay on topic

Post in the right forum. Meta Ads questions go in Meta Ads. Career advice goes in Career. If you are unsure, use General Discussion.

2. Be helpful, not promotional

Share genuine advice and experiences. Do not post affiliate links, spam your tool, or use the forum as a sales channel. Mentioning a tool you actually use is fine — shilling is not.

3. Back up your claims

When sharing results or strategies, include context: budget range, industry, timeframe, sample size. “I 10x’d ROAS” without context helps no one.

4. Be respectful

Disagree with ideas, not people. No personal attacks, harassment, or discrimination. We are all here to get better at advertising.

5. No confidential client data

Do not share screenshots or data that could identify a client without their permission. Anonymize case studies when needed.

6. Use descriptive titles

“Help!” is not a good topic title. “Meta CBO not spending on best-performing ad set — what am I missing?” is. Good titles get better answers.

7. Search before posting

Your question may already have been answered. Use the search function before creating a new topic.

8. Vote honestly

Upvote content that is helpful, accurate, or insightful. Downvote content that is misleading, off-topic, or low-effort. Do not vote based on personal grudges.

Enforcement

Moderators may edit, move, or remove posts that violate these guidelines. Repeat offenders may be temporarily or permanently suspended. If you see a rule violation, report it — do not engage.

These guidelines may be updated as the community grows. Last updated: April 2026.
