Hey everyone,
With Meta’s targeting capabilities evolving over the past few years, I’ve been revisiting the classic debate: broad audiences vs. interest-based targeting.
I’ve been running tests across multiple campaigns and have noticed that fully broad targeting often outperforms layered interests—especially when the creatives are strong. That said, the results aren’t always consistent, and some ad accounts still seem to respond better to structured audience targeting.
For those spending $100+/day consistently, I’d love to hear your experience:
Are you primarily running broad audiences and letting the algorithm do the heavy lifting?
Are interest stacks still giving you an edge in certain niches or markets?
Have you found any audience-testing framework that’s working particularly well in 2026?
At what spend level do you typically transition from interests to broad, if at all?
Personally, it feels like creative quality has become a much bigger lever than audience selection, but I’m curious whether others are seeing the same trend.
